The Philadelphia 76ers picked Syracuse guard, Michael Carter-Williams with the number 11 pick in the NBA draft.

They also made a trade, pending NBA approval, that would send point guard Jrue Holiday to New Orleans for center Nerlens Noel and a 1st round pick in 2014.

The Pelicans also will receive the 42nd overall pick in Thursday night’s NBA draft.

Noel, from Kentucky, was projected to be the number one overall pick but slipped to number six.

The Sixers picked up Glen Rice Junior in the 2nd round.
