Three Mile Island tested its siren system today.  The first round at 12:15pm went off perfectly using the old system.

An hour later, the second round of testings for the new siren alert system, didn’t make a sound.

According to Exelon, the problem was traced back to control boxes not being properly configured.

TMI want to stress though that the new siren system is not being used and is still in testing stages.  The current siren system does work and will alert everyone if a problem occurs.
