Gettysburg’s 150th Anniversary Commemoration Features more than 200 events, tours, programs and exhibits.

Here is a snapshot of some of the activities happening today, July 3:

  • Lincoln Look-Alike Contest

Shriver House Museum

The name Lincoln can be seen everywhere in Gettysburg today—from the various portraits and statues of Lincoln around town to the Lincoln Diner and the Lincoln Train Museum. Visitors can participate in one of three look-alike categories. The contest begins at 5PM.

  • Independence Day Parade

Downtown Gettysburg

Celebrate the History of the Borough of Gettysburg. The parade will begin at 7PM., with participants proceeding in chronological order according to date, beginning with the original Independence Day in 1776. Fireworks will follow at 10PM.
