Adam Chernicoff, of Harrisburg and a junior at Lafayette College in Easton was named by the White House to participate in the Summer 2013 internship program.  The White House Office of Communications released the names of the students in the summer 2013 internship program Tuesday evening.  The communications office says the mission of program is to make the White House accessible to future leaders around the nation and to prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities. Chernicoff has had previous internships with U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr. and former Governor Ed Rendell.

He is a 2010 graduate of Harrisburg Academy. He was  a star pitcher for Trinity High School where in the District 3-AAA playoffs, he batted .352 with three home runs, 17 RBI and 15 runs scored. In 22 plus innings on the mound he had a 1.83 ERA with 6 earned runs and struck out 28. He was recruited to play baseball at Lafayette.

At Lafayette, Adam is pursuing a double major in Government/Law and History. He is also a member of Lafayette College Student Government.  Adam plans to attend Law School after graduating.
