For days York County residents have bombarded their Facebook pages with word of a possible child abduction ring.  Parents and neighbors expressed deep concerns about students with foreign accents going door to door selling education materials and inquiring about children.

Two York County Police departments, Northern York County Regional and York Area Regional have looked into those rumors. The results of their inquiry uncovered no evidence to support the rumors.  The young people selling the educational materials were also determined to be legitimate and are no threat to the local community.

The two police departments issued a joint statement on their investigation and findings. To read the entire release click here.
