A lightning strike appears to have caused a leak in a fuel tanker in Hampden Township, Cumberland County. It happened at about 4:30 this afternoon in the 5100 block of Simpson Ferry Road.  There are fears that the tanker may catch fire.  Officials have evacuated homes and business within several blocks of the incident.  There have no reports of injuries. Nearby Trinity High School is being used as a temporary shelter.

Emergency crews are pouring water onto the leaking tanker.  More to come.
