WET START:  We only saw a few showers and storms this weekend, but we’re about to ramp up in the rain department to get the work week started.  Several small waves will rotate around the base of a larger circulation to our north.  This will bring scattered showers and storms to the forecast for the start of the work week along warm and cold fronts.

For Sunday evening plans, expect a mild and slightly less humid one with partly to mostly cloudy skies.  A stray shower may pass but most stay dry as temps slide back into the 70s.  Tonight, we’re mainly cloudy with lows near 70°.

Scattered showers and storms increase through the day on Monday.  We’re generally cloudy with an easterly wind.  Highs will be held in the low 80s.  It won’t rain all day, but expect a few hours of passing showers, especially later in the day.  The showers and storms continue overnight and will linger into Tuesday, where highs hit the middle 80s.

Rain estimates

SHORT BREAK:  Tuesday’s rain is ahead of a cold front.  For now, it looks as if the front clears us Tuesday night, bringing the return of sun and lower humidity air again for Wednesday and Thursday.  Highs will be in the low to middle 80s with more comfortable air in place.  The models have been bouncing a bit on the timing of M-F rain/dry air, so keep checking back with us as this forecast remains changeable.

Short Break

INTO THE WEEKEND:  Another frontal system will be forming and looking to move to the region for late in the weekend.  So Friday and Saturday, we’ll see some additional clouds and a small chance for storms.  By Sunday, it looks as if the system will move closer, bringing another batch of showers and storms back to the picture.  Expect added humidity and highs in the middle 80s for the weekend.

Have a wonderful work week!
