The Adams County Conservation District’s West Nile Virus Program will be conducting ultra low volume (ULV) mosquito control operation in Cumberland and Straban Townships, Adams County.  The treatments will be conducted on Monday, July 29th 2013.  We will be using a truck mounted sprayer. The control work will begin around sunset.

This control work is in response to high numbers of mosquitoes collected that have tested positive for WNV in these areas.

The control operation will be conducted in the residential areas off of Brough Rd between Short Cut Rd. and Pine Run Rd.

The business license for the Conservation District is BU 6875.  The product used will be Permanone RTU a rate of 1.50oz./acre.  This product is designed to provide quick knockdown and effective control of adult mosquitoes.

Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel these control operations, if this happens these treatments will be rescheduled.
