The driver of the train that derailed in Spain last week, killing 79 people has now been charged in the deadly crash.  Francisco Jose Garzon (pictured above) was charged with 79 counts of homicide by professional recklessness and an undetermined number of counts of causing injury.  Garzon was driving the Spanish train when it derailed and flew off the track last Wednesday.  At least 79 people have been confirmed dead, including two Americans.  Search crews are expecting that number to rise as they continue to sift through the debris.  Investigators do believe speed was a factor in the crash.  The train was travelling almost twice the posted speed limit for that section of the track.  The rail company believes the brakes should have been applied two and a half miles before approaching the curve.  In addition to the 79 charges, Garzon’s train license is suspended for six months and he must report to court on a weekly basis.
