A federal court ruled today that a Pennsylvania school district cannot legally ban breast cancer bracelets reading “I (Heart) Boobies” from their schools.
The court rejected Easton Area School District’s opinion that the slogan on the bracelets were lewd or disruptive to classes.
The lawsuit began in 2010, when two female students challenged the school’s rules on the bracelets. They were assisted by the ACLU.
Many other school districts around the country have also banned the bracelets.
