Man arrested for stealing credit cards

Police say the thief who’s been stealing credit cards from cars and used them at local convenience stores in Lancaster County is in custody, thanks to an assist from tipsters who recognized his face in surveillance pictures. Kyrell Shamar Wright-Smith is charged with multiple counts of forgery, theft from a motor vehicle, access device fraud, retail theft and loitering and prowling at night. He was arrested by East Hempfield Township Police on a warrant out of West Hempfield Township. Police say they received a great number of calls identifying Wright-Smith as the suspect in the surveillance pictures they released and were¬† published in the media.


He is currently in Lancaster County Prison.
