You can find a lot of things on Craig’s List but one man is accused of posting ads to sell another woman’s baby!
According to reports, he felt the two-month-old got in the way of a romantic relationship with the mother.
Prosecutors say 23-year-old Paul Marquez posted an ad attempting to sell the baby of a 19-year-old woman he was dating. The price tag: one hundred dollars!
Under the baby and kids section, his post, riddled with spelling errors read:
“Heyy I have a 2 month old baby…she loves to play nd have her little fun but there is only 1 problem, the doctor said that she has asthma nd if she turns a certain way she can stop breathing, she’s really getting on my nerves nd I don’t want her Please email me”
Marquez gave out the mother’s phone number and she called police after someone called her offering to buy the baby.
He is being held on one thousand dollars bail. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges; however, if convicted he faces up to a year in prison.
