Police in Lancaster County charge a New Holland man with unauthorized use of a debit card. Police arrested 30 year old Frederic Merklinger, III on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop at about 2:15 Tuesday afternoon.
An investigation revealed that Merklinger had used the victims’ debit card 14 times between July 4 and July 8, 2013 at various locations in New Holland Borough, Earl Township and East Lampeter Township. The amount of money stolen totaled more than $2,200.
During his arraignment a detainer on Merklinger was discovered issued by Lancaster County Probation. He was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
