Police are investigating an early morning crash that left one person dead in York City. Officers responded to the first block of South Pine Street around 3:40 a.m. for a report of a hit and run crash.
When investigators arrived on the scene–they found a vehicle on fire in the street.
Police say the vehicle hit a pole, two trees and a parked vehicle before catching fire.
The male driver was taken to York Hospital where he later died.
No autopsy is planned.
So far, police haven’t released the identity of the victim.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
