Authorities believe a lightning strike during Tuesday morning’s thunderstorms caused a rail car to catch fire in Lancaster County.
It happened around 5:30 a.m. along the the 200 block of Gap Road in Strasburg Township.
Rick Musser with the Strasburg Railroad says the fire caused damage to a storage car behind the “Choo Choo Barn.”
About $10,000-$12,000 dollars worth of Christmas decorations were damaged in the fire.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control around 6:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
