From April until June 2013, thousands of books were donated for this year’s Book Blast. Now they will be making their way to the Agricultural and Industrial Museum at 217 West Princess Street in preparation for Book Blast 2013. There dedicated volunteers will sort and organize them for your buying pleasure. There will be hard cover books and paperbacks sorted into such general categories as children books, cookbooks, fiction, history or genealogy.

As you enter the courtyard at AIM you will be greeted with tables of bargain books; priced at a $1.00 for bag. And we provide the bag! Entering the exhibit gallery shared with the 72-ton A-Frame you will see tables of sorted books. Prices begin at $2.00 for hard covers and paper backs will be a $1.00. There will also be a specially priced local history and collectible area where each book or pamphlet is individually priced.
Admission to the Book Blast is free and it opens to the public at 9:00 am on August 15th and runs through August 17th, 2013. Saturday, August 17th is Buck-a-Bag where you fill provided bags with any remaining general category books for just $1.00. And on this day, the local history and special collectable area books will be half-price.
