The Friends of Midtown Foot Patrol has been keeping watch on the Midtown section of Harrisburg for two years now . That section of the city has seen and continues to be victimized by crime. But the friends of midtown foot patrol refuse to be victims. They hit the streets once a week for two hours to help deter crime.
“ We just engage in the community and ask them what they see in their neighborhoods. We’re not vigilante’s it’s the eyes and ears of the police department,” says Ryan Stark, Chair, Friends of Midtown Foot Patrol
State Representative and former Harrisburg City Council Member Patty Kim wanted to see what they were all about. She joined them on their patrol Wednesday night.
“ We all have to be on guard to push it out of the city so we don`t see it anymore so we all have to work together as a city like Midtown is doing to get the crime out of the city for good,” says Rep. Patty Kim, (D) 103rd District
