Walmart robbed on Carlisle Pike

Police were dispatched to the 6500 block on Carlisle Pike around 4:00AM this morning for a man who supposedly robbed Walmart with a box cutter.

Police believe the man (pictured above) was inside the Walmart for a period of time before the robbery took place. When he approached a sales clerk at the front of the store he had a box cutter in his hand and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then took the money out of the register and left the building. Police do believe the suspect arrived and left the scene in a taxi cab.


Police say that they believe the suspect was picked up by the cab in Harrisburg near the Amtrack station at the 400 block of Market Street, after the incident he was dropped off near the intersection of South 13th street and Paxton Street. At this time police do not believe the taxi cab driver knew about the robbery.

The suspect  is believed to be a white male , in his 40’s or 50’s, about 5’8″ tall, with thinning light brown possible graying hair, with a medium build, and a tattoo on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing a light-colored button down shirt, long black jean shorts.
