FRIDAY FUN: Happy Friday! More fall like air is in the mix with lots of sunshine, a few clouds, and temperatures in the upper 70s. Humidity values stay in check too. Evening plans look fine with a few clouds and temps falling through the 70s into the 60s. Tonight, we drop to near 60°.
WEEKEND: A slug of moisture to our south will be shoved northward into the region for the weekend. For now, it looks like clouds will thicken and low level winds shift easterly. This will keep hold temperatures below average, in the upper 70s to near 80° for the weekend. The chance for a few showers slips in on Sunday, but most stay dry as it looks now.
BEACH: A coastal system will move northward just off the MD/DE/NJ shore. This keeps the forecast at the beach on the cooler side with generally cloudy skies all weekend. Best chances for rain are on Sunday. But showers, on and off, are possible through the weekend. It’s not a washout at this point, but be ready for rain. An easterly breeze will add to the cool feel. Highs are in the 70s with water temps in the upper 60s and low 70s and waves roughly 2-4 feet. Enjoy your trip!
NEXT WEEK: We’ll be near 80° on Monday with a chance for showers. Mid to late week looks warmer, humid, and mainly rain free as a warm bubble of air shifts northbound. We’ll continue to watch and tweak this forecast.
TROPICS: Erin is well out in the eastern Atlantic and is not anticipated to cause any trouble for anyone through the weekend. The cluster of storms in the Gulf of Mexico remains disorganized and will likely move toward Mexico or Texas in the days ahead. We’ll monitor both.
Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend!
