Children of all ages gathered in Litiz, Lancaster County for the town’s annual community days.

The event was held at the Lancaster Airport and showcases vintage, modern, and military aircraft’s. Visitors can get up close and view more than 50 different airplanes or take an aerial tour in helicopters. Professional pilots also take off to give the crowd an awe-inspiring show from the sky. A plane at today’s parade of planes had trouble getting completely off the ground and had a minor crash, but there were no injuries.

“The FAA was here, we had five FAA officials here, they investigated, no one did anything wrong.  It is just something that happens when you have a lot of airplanes flying”

Community days continues tomorrow, gates open at 10AM.
