A fire in York displaces nine residents of a North George Street home. It happened around 1:45pm on the 500 block of North George Street. No one was injured. The fire started in the home’s kitchen and firefighters managed to contain the flames to that room. Three other homes are in the same row as 530 North George, but they sustained only smoke damage, according to firefighters.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
