The congregation of Gad al-Seed Evangelical Presbyterian Church in the city of Minya, Egypt, returned to worship a few days after their church was burned on August 18, 2013.   The church and about 40 others in Egypt were damaged or destroyed by supporters of deposed president Mohammed Morsi after the government violently cracked down on their protests.

A Dutch and Belgian television crew filmed the service. Lancaster County based Mennonite Central Committee, which supplied the photo, has missionaries in Egypt.
