State Police shot and killed a man after he barricaded himself in his home for hours in Franklin County Monday afternoon. State Police say the man had an aggravated assault warrant out for his arrest after a domestic dispute with his girlfriend on Saturday. Police arrived at the man’s home around 10:30 Monday morning to serve him the warrant. He refused to surrender and barricaded himself inside the home. During negotiations with State Police he fled from his home with multiple firearms in hand. It was then that he was shot and killed.
“ With his house, I’m not going to say it was secluded but you don’t have neighbors right on top of each other, Were they in immediate danger? No, but any time you have a guy who’s not willing to surrender weapons it’s a dangerous situation,” says Trooper Robert Hicks, Pennsylvania State Police
No State Troopers were injured. State Police and the District Attorney are continuing to investigate.
