Autographed football jerseys, baseball bats, framed photos, and much much more were up for grabs at the 29th Annual Sports Memorabilia Auction at the Lampeter Fairgrounds in Lancaster County.  Collectors of all things sports packed into the auction tent at 9 am Monday morning to bid on their favorite sports team’s items.  All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Lancaster Hospice and Community Care.  Aside from the usual items, participants also had the opportunity to bid on tickets to a Penn State game, a Ravens game, and various golf course packages.

Steve Knaub, president and CEO of Hospice Community Care, “This event has always been crucial for our success and to be able to do the things that the community has come to rely on.  But with the sequestration and the medicare rate cuts to hospice, this event is really most important than ever and these funds are vital so that we can continue to provide the extraordinary care that we give to our patients and families every day”.
