Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick said he felt like it was halftime after the first quarter ended.   Coach Chip Kelly had his team run 53 plays in the first half alone.   Bishop McDevitt grad LeSean McCoy had 20 carries for over 100 yards before the second half kickoff.    Kelly promised a fast-paced, dynamic offense upon his arrival from the college football ranks and he delivered in his first NFL game, a 33-27 victory over the Washington Redskins.

McCoy finished the game with 31 rushes for 184 yards and many of the carries were of the spectacular variety.   His 34-yard touchdown in the third quarter put the Eagles up 33-7.  The Redskins and Robert Griffin III made a valiant comeback attempt but Philadelphia is in the win column to start the year.

Kelly makes his home debut on Sunday against San Diego.
