Shots fired into Columbia Borough apartment

Police are investigating a report of shots fired into an occupied apartment in Columbia Borough early Saturday. Witnesses told  investigators they heard 3 shots go off around 3:56 a.m. along the 100 block of Locust Street.

Officers found bullet holes lodged into a door of an apartment nearby.

Three people were inside, a 52-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman.

Police said the 20-year-old was hit in the lower back with glass fragments from an oven door that was shattered by a bullet.
