CHILLED:  We’re starting this Wednesday near record lows with temperatures in the 40s!  Once the sun comes up, we warm quickly into the 50s for late morning.  Today, we finish at 70° with mainly sunny skies.  We’re back to the middle 40s tonight.

MILDER: Thursday looks generally sunny as well with highs back to the middle 70s, at or above seasonal averages.  Friday, we add a few more clouds as some warmer air shifts northward.  We’re near 80° under partly cloudy skies.  We look dry for now.

WEEKEND:  We’ll see more clouds around Saturday into Sunday as a frontal system tries to swing through.   The models continue to bounce back and forth with cutting of some upper level energy.  If the energy cuts off…we slow down and spread out the rain chances.  For now, Saturday looks to start dry with the chance for rain/storms increasing later in the day with showers lingering into Sunday.  Highs Saturday are in the upper 70s and Sunday will be in the low 70s.  The forecast is subject to change.

NEXT UP:  The start of the week depends on what happens over the weekend.  If we have a slower system or one that develops off the pinched off upper energy, clearing will have to wait until midweek and unsettled weather could stay in the cards.  For now, we’re holding highs near 70 to start the week.  More to come.

Enjoy tonight’s full Harvest moon.  The skies will be clear and the air crisp.  It feels like fall already; however, autumn doesn’t arrive until Sunday at 4:44PM!  Happy hump day!

Full Moon

The full moon is given the name the Harvest moon because it helped to provide farmers light at night to help harvest their crops.
