High pressure will hold a grip on the area.  It is providing a nice dry airmass across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.  There is an upper level disturbance moving out of the Ohio Valley which is resulting in high clouds across the area.  The energy will lift out over night leaving another beautiful day to enjoy for Thursday.

OUR SUNNY, DRY STRETCH CONTINUES

Despite a few high clouds, I expect lows to drop below average once again dipping into the mid and upper 40s.  There could be patchy fog in some of the valleys north and west of Harrisburg. As we head through the next couple of mornings, we’ll see the dewpoints coming up and temperatures will be falling to the dewpoints under mostly clear skies resulting in a better chance for areas of morning fog.  Thursday looks to be another mostly sunny day.  With the flow coming in from the east-northeast it is possible a few clouds will develop in the afternoon.  Highs will climb to seasonal averages again in the low 70s.

Hour by Hour

TGIF!

We’ll see more clouds for Friday with fog in the morning and cool temperatures, but still ending on a dry note with once again near seasonal average highs in the low 70s under partly sunny skies.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

It still looks like we stay rain free through Sunday.  Storm system brewing off the coast will actually aid in our sunny weekend. We’ll be on the back side of the storm system which will be placed well off the coast but will create sinking air or subsidence resulting in a great amount of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday. Highs will warm into the mid 70s with morning lows in the low 50s.

RAIN ANYTIME SOON?

Not looking likely with the next front but there is a small chance as a cold front comes in Monday.  Models have been trending drier showing the front weakening by the time it gets here.  We’ll certainly keep you posted.  We need the rain!
