The Dover Eagles started off the season with 3 straight victories, including a win over Mid-Penn foe Red Land.  But last week, they suffered their 1st loss, a close one to Dallastown.  This week, they have another challenge against the Central York Panthers.

Eric Lam, Dover Head Coach

“We gotta play with the same intensity.  This Central ballclub is a really good team, well coached.  We have to come out with good intensity and we have to clean up the mistakes that we are making in phases of the game.”

Malik Allen, Dover

“Records don’t mean anything.  As long as we do what we need to do and we know that we are giving it our all, thats all that matters.”

Central needs to give everything they got to beat Dover.  The Panthers are coming off a blowout win against Susquehannock.  And tonight, their game plan is simple.

Shane Walker, Central York

“We will try to run the ball on them, pass them and really just move the ball down the field.”

Brad Livingston, Central York Head Coach

“We play football in Pennsylvania so its always stop the run and be successful with the run.”

And for Dover, there’s no place like home.

“The past 3 weeks we were on the road so to come home and get our home crowd there, our student body there and the community. Thats something we have been trying to do this year.  Our mantra is I am in, we want the community to come out and support these kids.  They are playing well so we hoped to see it packed out and it should be a good atmsopshere.”
