PennDOT District 8 placed advanced signing today announcing an upcoming weekend closure at the I-83 Exit 10 interchange in Loganville, York County.
The I-83 Exit 10 ramps will be closed starting Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. through Oct. 7 at 6 a.m., weather permitting, as the contractor constructs the approaches from the new roadway to the I-83 on-and-off ramps. Until then, a detour which uses Susquehanna Trail and I-83 via Exit 8 (Glen Rock) and Exit 14 (Leader Heights) will be in place.
The contractor will maintain a single lane of travel with flaggers alternating traffic through the work zone on North Street over I-83 during weekend paving operations.
PennDOT encourages those who use North Street and Exit 10 to allow for extra time in their travel plans or to seek an alternate route in order to avoid delays.
Kinsley Construction, Inc. of York is conducting the $11 million contract to realign the Exit 10 interchange ramps, to lengthen the acceleration and deceleration lanes, to widen and realign North Street, and to replace the bridge over I-83.
