Katie Kyros: The White Rose Thunder motorcycle rally is off to a speedy start at the York Expo Center.
The event runs through Sunday, with vendors, concerts, bike games and other exhibitions.
Promoter Larry Racey says flat-track racing is a big attraction.
“It’s an exciting day if nobody’s ever seen flat track racing,” says Racey. “It’s 10 guys all at once, going 90 to 100 miles an hour on dirt and they’re sliding their bikes and unfortunately every now and then, one falls off.”
