Federal prosecutors have announced that a York man will serve time for distribution of crack cocaine.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Omar Sierre Folk, 32, of York was sentenced today to serve 22 years and 5 years of probation for the distribution of crack cocaine and firearm offenses. Folk was also ordered to pay a 1500 dollar fine.

The sentence stems from an incident from September 1, 2011 when local police arrested Folk after he attempted a drug sale. Police then searched his home where they found 144 grams of crack cocaine and a firearm.

Folk was indicted in October of 2011 and convicted in August 2012 for distributing over 280 grams of crack cocaine in and around the York area.
