He’s a Central Dauphin grad and an actor who’s made a name for himself starring in films, musicals, and most notably, soap operas. Eric Martsolf, who plays “Brady Black” on Days of Our Lives, was in town over the weekend for a fan event.  The event was meant to raise money for a gym he and his wife opened in Studio City, California, which benefits children with special needs.

Martsolf’s family, friends and fans joined at the Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey for the event. There, they got a tour of the new facility. They also took part in a silent auction to raise money for the gym, Rock The Spectrum.

“…it basically is a gym for all kids, but it caters to kids with special needs.  We have noticed that there really wasn’t a place where mothers of kids who are on spectrum, autistic kids, could go and be comfortable with.  Because most of the kids gyms in our area is just sensory overload.  We have equipment that is sensory equipment, the colors on our walls aren’t as bright, the music is a little low – it makes these kids leveled and it helps clear their heads, and basically provides them with a more comforting atmosphere.” says, Martsolf.
