A show producer for ‘The Simpsons’ announces writers will be killing off one of their main characters this season.

While promoting the twenty-fifth season of the cartoon — Executive Producer Al Jean says it will be the end of the road for a show regular.
He stopped short of revealing who exactly that character will be, so that means it could be Bart, or Homer, or Marge … or any one of the dozens of characters on Fox’s longest-running comedy.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jean did offer one key hint. He said the actor playing the character won an Emmy for the role.

That narrows it down a bit, but there’s still a significant list of possible candidates.

According to Wikipedia that list includes:

Bart Simpson

Homer Simpson

Marge Simpson

Lisa Simpson

Rabbi Hyman Krustofski

Edna Krabappel

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon

Sideshow Bob

Princess Penelope

Grandpa Simpson

Barney Gumble

Krusty the Clown

Groundskeeper Willie

Mayor Quimby

Sideshow Mel

Chief Wiggum

Moe Szylak

Cletus Spuckler
