A Lancaster County physician is charged with Abuse of Corpse in the death of David H. Sellers, 43,  of York.  Sellers body was found in his car, a white Nissan Maxima, in a parking lot in the first block of West 10th Avenue in North York Borough on September 17, 2013.  There were no visible signs of trauma to his body.

Investigators in Lancaster County learned that Sellers had been visiting Dr. John M. Yelcick, 48,  at  Dr. Yelcick’s Manheim Township home on September 13, 2013.  Some time during the visit Yelcick discovered that Sellers had passed away. Yelcick placed Sellers in Sellers’ car and drove him to North York Borough, where he left the car with Sellers’ body still inside.

In addition to Abuse of Corpse, Dr. Yelcick is also charged with Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence. After arraignment this morning, Dr. Yelcick was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
