Adams County Habitat for Humanity celebrated its newest homeowners in Gettysburg on Sunday.
The home is in Carpenter’s Village, which was built by Habitat. Habitat asks each family they help to donate their time in return and build more houses.
“I think it’s a wonderful organization,” says new homeowner Amanda Daniels. “And it feels great to give back and we are looking forward to giving back. It’s just, we’re blessed to have this opportunity.”
This year is the 25th anniversary of the Adams County Habitat for Humanity. The group has built more than 30 homes in the area.
