Schools across the state partnered with Penn DOT for the 17th annual walk or roll to school day.

Schools and communities including Lincoln Charter School in York joined together to educate children, parents, and the public on how to safely walk and bike to school.

Students at the charter school took a 4 block walk through the West end of York with the York City Police Department.

Organizers say physical activity is extremely important.  School officials also wanted the walk to raise awareness for the school’s safe route’s to school and the need to ensure that students have access to safer routes for walking and bicycling in the community.
