He’s an All-Pro wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, Susquehanna Township High graduate and the owner of a championship team, the Harrisburg Stampede.   The Saints have a bye week so it’s a perfect time to come home and make a big announcement.     “I would like to take this time to officially announce that the Harrisburg Stampede will be moving its football operations to the Giant Center for the 2014 season,” Colston said at a press conference in Hershey.    This is a significant upgrade for the team as they switch arenas and leagues.   The Stampede joins the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) this Spring after winning the AIF National Championship this past season.

“It’s a product that we feel is very exciting and has a lot to offer,” Colston added.   Equally as important is the community aspect that we bring to the table as well.   Anytime that you can continue to move forward, you have to take that opportunity.”

“This easily has got to be right on top of that list as far as a great facility, wonderfully run, beautifully kept, it’s going to be exciting,” noted Stampede Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski.    The Stampede will play their first home game at Giant Center on March 30, 2014.
