Lancaster native, David Nolt, was born with Arthrogryposis, one of the world`s rarest diseases. It causes constrictions in the joints of the arms as well as muscular atrophy, drastically limiting motion and movement. As a child, David struggled to find his place amongst his fellow classmates, until he picked up a pencil in his mouth. Then, he discovered his extraordinary talent for art and his special place in the world. Thanks to the financial support of being a member of an organization like the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists, David and others like him are provided with support to achieve greater financial independence.
