We recently told you about a Dauphin County street ministry that was kicked out of the county courthouse parking lot where they would feed those in need. Now they have a new location on Cameron street but , the ministry says it`s been hard for people to get there .
Isaiah 61 Ministries has gone out onto the streets to feed those in need in the downtown area for years. Since they were kicked out of the Dauphin County courthouse parking lot they moved to Howard Motors on Cameron Street . The president of the ministry says the new spot is just too hard for people who need it the most to get to .
“ We believe Christ reached out to people and so we feel it`s important for us to do that and over the years because we did that we were able to establish important relationships, “ says April Ocasio, Isaiah 61 Ministries
Dauphin County says they couldn’t handle the amount of people in their parking lot, or the litter and unsanitary conditions that came with it. The county says they are helping to look for other alternatives for the group.
