More controversy brewing over religion in schools.. And this time it surrounds a bill sponsored by a Pennsylvania lawmaker.. That would require school districts post “in god we trust” in every school building.
It passed yesterday in the house education committed by a 14 to 9 vote. The representative from Allegheny County who proposed the bill, says it’s about celebrating our national motto, which became such under a 1956 law signed by president Dwight Eisenhower.
There are already plenty of groups speaking out against the bill.. Saying the government should stay neutral on the issue of religion.
