A single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle ends up becoming a fatal accident.

The York County Coroner was called to the scene of an accident that occurred around 2:50 today on Jefferson Road, near Shaffers Road in Codorus Township.

The driver of the motorcycle and his passenger were driving northbound on Jefferson Road when, for unknown reasons, traveled of the roadway and slammed into a guard rail.

The Coroner declared the male dead at the scene and the female passenger was taken to York Hospital in serious condition.

There were no other vehicles involved.

Police are still investigating this accident.
