A deadly crash involving two cars and a mini-van Wednesday morning in Lancaster County.  It happened at about 11:35 am along the 3800 block of Oregon Pike in West Earl Township.  Township police say a vehicle driven by 36 year old Heather Zerbe, of Elizabethtown, pulled from a driveway and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by 64 year old Mark Tedford, of Palmyra. The impact caused Tedford’s car to crash nearly head-on with a southbound car driven by 81 year old James Murphy, of Lancaster.

Zerbe, along with her passengers, 63 year old Audrey McGuigan, a  five year old, and a two year old boy and a 3 month old infant suffered injuries. All five people in the Zerbe vehicle and Mr. Tedford were taken to the hospital.

James Murphy and his passenger, Margaret Murphy were also taken to Lancaster General Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

Mr. Murphy was later pronounced dead of his injuries. The investigation into the crash continues.
