TEMPS TUMBLE

Cold front has moved out, now the winds are brisk out of the northwest ushering in much colder air.  Overnight, clouds continue to clear. Winds stay a bit breezy 10 to 15mph leading to lows in the low 30s.

AM Metrovision

CHILLY FRIDAY

Even though we will see plenty of sunshine across our skies, the winds and much colder airmass will keep temps mainly in the upper 40s to around 50. Winds could gust as high as 25mph then ease up in the evening. Another fantastic night for football as the season starts to wind down edging closer to playoffs but you better plan for a cold game. Bring extra layers to keep you warm!

Hour by Hour

WEEKEND CHILL

Saturday into Sunday will be cooler than average.  Saturday will start off with clear skies and plenty of sunshine for much of the day before the clouds move back in.  Highs will reach the low 50s after morning lows around 30.  Overnight into Sunday, a disturbance moving through the Great Lakes and some upper level energy will produce more clouds but that is about all since this next clipper like system looks moisture starved.  Most of the energy remains to our north.  Sunshine should prevail for the second half of the weekend as well, helping temperatures into the mid 50s.  Chillier air rushes in for Monday and another system reinforces colder air keeping it around through Tuesday and Wednesday.

NEXT WEEK STORM POTENTIAL

Some models plotting a coastal low for the middle of next week.  It has the potential to bring our first winter precip of the season.  However, not all models agree on the timing and temperatures.  The Fox43 weather team will be keeping a close eye on things and bring you the latest.
