BYE-BYE WARMTH: Mild air escapes us pretty quickly today, so enjoy every morsel of warmth this morning. A cold front will push through by midday, so we begin with rain showers and a light breeze and end with falling temperatures and a gusty northwesterly breeze. Temps around daybreak will be in the upper 50s. By sunset we’re dropping into the upper 40s in spots. Any rain tapers around midday. Tonight, we clear and drop to the low to middle 30s.
INTO THE WEEKEND: The sun mixes with a few clouds on Friday. It’s breezy and much cooler. Highs hit the upper 40s. Saturday is sunny to start with highs making it to the low 50s. We’ll see some clouds slip by later as a weak disturbance passes to our north. The clouds are here to start Sunday, but sun returns for the afternoon. Highs will hit the low to mid 50s.
VETERANS DAY: Veterans Day on Monday looks great. We’re in the mid 50s with mostly sunny skies for outdoor activities. Enjoy the nice fall weather.
MID-WEEK QUESTIONS: We’re watching the models hint at our next system bringing in some colder air with it. Temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday should hit the low to middle 40s for highs with lows near freezing. The next system will bring precip with it and models are pointing at some rain or snow or a mix. It’s still six to seven days away, and it’s early in the season, but we have to mention that we’re watching the trends. We’ll keep you up to speed as always when we know more and the picture is clearer. Too much uncertainty exists now for a detailed forecast, as is the case with any system this far out in the future.
Enjoy this Thursday!
