A suspected drunk driver is behind bars after leading police on a chase along Interstate 81 in Cumberland County early Sunday.
Dariusz Piekunko, 30, of Westchester, IL, is facing charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
Police spotted Piekunko driving erratically in along I-81 north just south of Route 114 in Silver Spring Township around 3:40 a.m.
Authorities say he initially pulled over–but then sped off leading police on a brief chase through Silver Spring Township.
The chase finally ended when Piekunko drover over stop sticks that were deployed by assisting officers along Route 114. He was arrested and taken to Cumberland County Central Processing.
