VETERANS DAY:  Today looks like a cool, but dry day for all the Veterans Day activities outdoors.  We start in the 30s for most with clear skies.  Then clouds quickly thicken as the morning progresses.  Temperatures roll into the middle 50s for highs today with a southwesterly breeze.  Temps will fall into the 40s for evening plans.

Overnight tonight, an arctic cold front pushes southbound bringing a few light showers and some flakes to the area.  We’re not expecting much out of this in the form of rain, let alone any snow.  Travel looks fine as temps fall only to the middle 30s.

Futurecast

TASTE OF THE ARCTIC:  The door to the arctic opens for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Luckily, we’re on the edge of this blob of cold air, but it still makes for a frigid few days.  Tuesday we touch the 40° mark, but clouds and winds will make it feel colder.  We’re into the 20s overnight, some of the coldest air of the season.  Then, Wednesday the core of coldest air settles in with highs in the upper 30s despite the sunshine.  We drop again to the 20s for lows.

3 Day Planner

END OF THE WEEK:  We bring some warmth back to the picture by Thursday as a high pressure nudges the cold air north.  We hit the upper 40s with sunshine Thursday.  Friday looks good too with highs in the middle 50s.

WEEKEND:  The weekend looks milder with highs back into the middle and upper 50s.  Saturday looks dry for now with the chance for a few showers Sunday.  We still need to work on the timing of the rain though.

Have a spectacular Monday!
