Suspect sought in violent West York assault

Police are searching for a suspect wanted on attempted homicide charges following a violent assault in West York Borough Saturday night.

Gerald “J.R.” Graham, Jr., 35, is facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Police responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 1200 block of West King Street for a report of an assault. Officers found a 57-year-old man at the scene with severe injuries to his head, face and chest. The victim was taken to York Hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Graham. He was last seen wearing a tan coat, jeans and headband. Police say Graham is homeless and is still believed to be in the York area.
