UPDATE: Police arrest suspect in West York violent assault

Police have made an arrest in a violent assault in West York.

Gerald “J.R.” Graham, Jr., 35, was taken into custody on Sunday morning. Police have charged him with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of West King Street around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday for a report of an assault. Police found a 57-year-old man at the scene with severe injuries to his head, face and chest. The victim was taken to York Hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
