A crash involving a tractor trailer and another vehicle results in two people being flown to York Hospital for treatment.  It happened at about 5:03 o’clock this evening in the northbound lanes at mile marker 13 in Guilford Township, Franklin County.

Pennsylvania State Police say the big rig slammed into the vehicle that was stopped on the berm of the highway. The truck driver got out of the rig and ran away. He was found a short time later in the restroom of the CEBCO gas station in the 5000 block of Molly Pitcher Highway and taken into custody.

The two people in the vehicle reportedly suffered serious injuries.

North and southbound lanes of Interstate 81 were shutdown by the crash.  The southbound lanes reopened after 7 pm. State Police say the northbound lanes will remain close for an undetermined amount of time while the investigation into the crash continues.
